ABOUT DICHROIC GLASS

Glass jewellery was highly valued in ancient Rome. Our glass is a modern twist on an ancient art. Dichroic glass contains micro-thin layers of metal oxides. Like the drops in a rainbow, the oxides cause light rays to bend as they enter the glass, refracting the spectrum into colours.

The glass itself remains completely clear so that its brilliance is the effect of multiple prisms bouncing light from each other.

Four to five layers of glass are fired to over 1,400 degrees over several hours. These layers create jewellery that is beautiful and durable.
